What is the Learn to Paddle adventure?

Have you ever wanted to learn how to paddle a kayak or a stand-up-paddleboard? Come let us teach you how on a local Alaskan lake. You will learn to use a paddlecraft all while basking in the beauty of the Chugach Mountains! 

This trip is designed for those who have little to no experience using a paddlecraft.

What to expect on this outing

This 2-hour class will take place at Jim Lake.  We will teach you how to paddle a kayak or stand-up paddleboard and then give you time to put into practice what you have learned as we float and paddle around the lake. 

What is the cost for this half day adventure?

$75 per person

Add-on services, for add ons call or email us to schedule extra services like:

Shuttle services to and from your destination are $50

Cook your fish on-site for $30

 

What to bring on your float trip!

There can be wind blowing off the glacier or coming from the mountain so we recommend that you wear the following:

  • Non-cotton base layer
  • Quick drying shirt and pants
  • Fleece jacket
  • Rain/wind outer layer pants and jacket
  • Hat with draw string or a beanie
  • Shoes that can get wet and dry quickly (flip flops are discouraged)
