A typical trip itinerary is as follows:
We will meet at Newcomb Park, by Wasilla Lake, at the designated time and then transfer everyone to Finger Lake. After paddling across Finger Lake there is a portage where we carry our paddle craft up and down a hill to Cottonwood Lake. After paddling on Cottonwood Lake for a little bit, we will stop for a snack. We then paddle across the rest of Cottonwood Lake to Mud Lake. Depending on water levels we will go through a tunnel or carry our equipment across Seward Meridian Highway. Afterwards we will follow Wasilla Lake back to our car. As we paddle, look for moose, salmon and other animals. Also, enjoy the beautiful Chugach and Talkeetna mountain ranges in the background.
